FAMILY FOREST SCHOOL OPTIONS

What about the weather?
There is no bad weather here when you have outdoor gear.
F.F.S. classes are weather-immersive and occur in rain, snow, and sunshine...but never during thunderstorms.
Sessions will be canceled if severe storms are predicted or the roads are impassable. If your session is canceled, we will transfer that credit to the next available F.F.S. session.

To prepare, please check out the gear page for our suggestions about how to dress for the weather. There are many ways to keep comfortable in the heat, rain, snow, and cold.
Other FAQs
1. What happens if a session is canceled?
Your non-refundable payment will be held to reserve the next available session of your choice.
2. Do you have toileting facilities?
Yes.
3. What is the intention of Family Forest School?
Our intention for these sessions is for your family to learn or improve a wild skill, enhance your connection with your child, and play together in nature. With this idea in mind, we invite all nature-loving families to visit Airie Outdoor Academy to explore and enjoy the bountiful laughter of childhood.
4. Does Airie have a homeschool co-op?
Yes, we have a group of families who regularly meet every Wednesday afternoon. Click here to learn more.
Play is good for everyone, no matter your age!
Please note: At least one adult caregiver (e.g., parent, loved one, nanny) must accompany the registered child/ren and are responsible for their children on campus at all times.
What will we be doing during our Wild Playdate?
Airie's Wild Playdates are a nature-immersive, educational playgroup for families. Your family will be welcomed into our outdoor classroom to enjoy Reggio-inspired, experiential learning in our Learning Hubs. Let our intentionally designed learning environment inspire your child socially, intellectually, and physically. Join us in the great outdoors as we follow the seasons and observe the natural world around us change!
Wild Families can expect time to climb, crawl, imagine, investigate, and laugh under the trees. With gentle facilitation from Airie's experienced forest educators and a supportive community of nature-enthusiastic families, this Wild Playdate invites you to stop doing and start wondering together.
