Tennessee encourages families to come together and share in the learning process as a Learning Pod, also known as a homeschool co-op. This opportunity allows families in the Clarksville area to regularly gather at Airie's privately owned Nurture Center and learn together in nature.

When?

Wednesday Afternoons

12:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Summer/Autumn Semester: 8/12/26 - 12/16/26

Winter/Spring Semester: 1/6/27 - 5/26/27

Who?

Homeschooling Families 

Children aged: 5 - 8 years

Gentle Rhythm

  • 12:45 - Gates Open

  • 1:00 - Outdoor Learning Laboratories​

  • 1:30 - Skills-based Instruction

  • 2:45 - Chores & Reflection Meeting

  • 3:00 - Farewell

How do I apply?

To reserve your spot for the 2026-2027 semester, please click the link below and submit your application. 

What about the weather?

There is no bad weather here when you have outdoor gear.

Sessions will be canceled if dangerous weather systems are predicted or the roads are impassable. If needed, the Nurture Center will be used as a shelter during temporary weather challenges.

All Airie classes are weather-immersive and occur in rain, snow, and sunshine...but never during thunderstorms.

 To prepare, please check out the gear page for our suggestions about how to dress for the weather. There are many ways to keep comfortable in the heat, rain, snow, and cold.

What?

Your family will be welcomed into Airie's privately owned Nurture Center campus to enjoy a wild adventure. The enrolled students will move through a gentle rhythm rooted in free play and skills-based learning activities. Each class honors the seasonal rhythms of learning and play while practicing a bushcraft or Forest School activity led by one of our Forest School Teachers.  

Joining our Village

Airie is an intentional community of learners who value experiential, play-based learning in nature. All families begin their journey with us:

  1. Complete an application.

  2. Schedule a Meet & Greet Tour. 

  3. Complete enrollment forms.

Please Note: Homeschooling Partners must accompany their children for each class.
